I know it's been awhile since I have sent out a News Update - what a busy summer so far!
Since the last update, we have had: one rain-out at Florence, some major car repairs, and 2 Feature wins at Moler. Jason and Team 12 have been running at various tri-state tracks including: Brushcreek, Brownstown, Twin Cities, and Union County. The results have all been posted and updated, and there are even some videos on YouTube if you missed the races.
Now, as the current points leader, Jason and Team 12 are looking forward to going back to their home track for Florence Speedways Fan Appreciation night this weekend (July 16). Be sure to stop by and say hi at the intermission - as Jason and the Team will be there to sign shirts and take pictures!

June 17 2011 - Moler Raceway Park

It's been pretty quiet racing-wise the last two weeks as Team 12 has been working dilligently trying to repair the damage to the car from Florence on June 4th.
Jason and the Crew were looking forward to Brownstown on Wednesday June 15th, but unfortunately it was rained out.
Travelling last-minute to Moler on Friday night, unfortunately Randy and I weren't able to make it. Luckily we had text updates from Brandon, and DRC attended the races and their recordings are now posted on their website (and linked on our YouTube here for the heat races and here for the feature). I'm told that Jason started 3rd row inside in the heat to finish 4th and make it into the Feature starting in 8th. Unfortunately Jason had some issues with the brakes through the feature, but despite this fact - managed to finish a strong 3rd! Good job Team 12!
We were all looking forward to getting back to Florence on Saturday night, but yet again.. another rain-out. So, we have to be patient and look forward to next weekend now. Just think - only two more Florence races until the North/South Tune-up!
Oh yes, and for those of you who haven't seen - we are now on Twitter. I will be updating it on race nights from now on, but it will automatically update both Twitter and Facebook at the same time... so you have your pick of venues. You can find Team 12 on Twitter at JJamesonRacing, so be sure to hit 'follow'!

May 28 & 29 2011 - Florence Speedway & Lake Cumberland Speedway

We sure had great racing this past memorial day weekend!

Saturday night (May 28) started out in Florence where it looked like summer has finally kicked into high gear. The track looked good, and the racing moved along quickly.
#12 started on the poll in the 3rd heat race and in only a matter of a few minutes it was over with Jason pulling a huge lead to finish 1st. Just another night at the track, for Jason!
The feature started with #12 in the second row, outside. Within a few laps Jason was running in second hot on the heals of Greg Johnson (#30) - looking for an opening to make a move. Half way through the 40 laps, the track looked more like a pinball machine as #12 got bounced around and was pushed back to finish a strong 4th.

Sunday morning (May 29), Jason decided to make the run down to Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky for their Memorial Weekend special run with $2000 to win. Unfortunately some of the crew wasn't able to make the trip, but we decided to tag along to keep everyone updated (3-hour drive vs. missing a race.. the drive won! haha).
Jason did well on the small track in the Qualifying, getting 13.782 (fastest time of the night was 13.375). #12 started front row outside in the 2nd heat and just like Florence the night before, took 1st with a rather large lead. In the feature, #12 started on the poll and held the lead for some time before getting stuck in traffic. Unfortunately after that point, the tires seemed to loose traction and Jason wasn't able to regain the lead - but pulled off a great race in 2nd.

All the racing from this weekend has been posted on YouTube - so you won't have to miss the excitement!

After the race at Florence and then Lake Cumberland last night, the car looks a little worse for wear. If you watch the video from Cumberland, you'll see sparks flying between turn 1 and 2 - and boy, she's looking battle scarred! Everyone is excited for next weekend in Florence though. With $10,000 to win at the Ralph Latham Memorial - it will be an exciting race! We hope to see all Jason's fans out to support him. Did I mention the #12 fans down in Cumberland? What a great surprise to find a whole cheering section for Jason, 200 miles away from home. Jason was really happy to hear the cheers and encouragement while visiting.

By the way, have you bought your tickets for the North/South in Florence yet? We bought ours this past weekend (Section Y!) and were informed that the front stretch is nearly sold-out already. Be sure to get yours soon!

May 20 & 21 2011 - Moler Raceway & Florence Speedway

Hey all - sorry for the delay in the news for this week. Randy and I have been away on vacation in Florida, and can't believe we missed a great weekend of racing!
From what I hear, Friday night at Moler Raceway Jason finished 8th. That's about all I know - so I'll leave it at that ;)
Saturday night though in Florence - I'm told Jason ran another shocker of a race. Coming from the tail to win the feature... the third Feature Win in a row at Florence! Apparently it was quite a race, and I was hoping that someone out there had recorded it (if you know anyone, please let me know) so we could see what we missed and post it on the YouTube page. The boys were certainly excited and happy to win - so here's to the next!
Speaking of next... this coming weekend (May 28th), the weather prediction is holding out and Saturday night looks good for racing in Florence. We definitely won't miss this one and hope to see y'all there. Be sure to wear your #12 gear - it's great to see so many fans in the crowd, and they sure are easy to spot! I believe EatDirt will be there as well on the back stretch selling all the t-shirts, hoodies, beanies etc.
Also, if anyone is interested in buying a copy of any of the races I've recorded - drop me an email and I can send you one. They are $10/DVD.

May 7 2011 - Florence Speedway

Another great race last night at Florence Speedway for the Jason Jameson Racing team!
The weekend started out on a perfect note with Jason and Lauren welcoming an adorable 7lb 6oz baby boy on Friday May 6th. Mom and 'Baby JJ' are doing fine and set to come home from the hospital before the end of the weekend, and dad couldn't be happier. Congratulations!

Inside the #12

Saturday night was another 'will-it-rain?' Saturday night at Florence Speedway, and unfortunately late afternoon brought a few showers - but the races were still on. The track was extremely wet and slippery - but Florence pushed forward with extended hot laps.
The 2nd heat race started with #12 in 6th position, and everyone seemed cautious of the track conditions. Jason managed to push up to 4th though and secure a spot in the Feature.
By the time the Feature was set to start, the track was running much better. Jason started in 5th and unfortunately several cars spun-out in turn #2, causing both JJ2 and #12 to cut off the track into the mid-field. As a result, both drivers were sent to the rear. Jason fought his way back to the front again, and with 6 laps to go was in the lead. With Jesse Lay close behind, Jason ushered in the second Feature win (in a row!) of the 2011 season at Florence.
For those of you who missed it, I recorded both the heat race and feature - both are being uploaded to YouTube as I write this. (I hope my recording skills are getting a bit better - I apologize for the shaking at the end of the feature, but my fingers were frozen by that point!)
Everyone is so happy for Jason and Lauren - both with 'Baby JJ' and the win last night.

May 7 2011 Florence win

Cheers to Jason Jameson Racing!

Thank goodness the rain finally let up enough to go racing... I know I was definitely getting stir-crazy and even a tad bit shaky!
Last night in Florence, the weather was great though - prefect for racing. There were around 30 late models there, and I think nearly as many Modifieds (if not more?), with Pure Stocks and the Holman Chevettes as well.
In hot laps the car looked good, and starting third in the 2nd heat race #12 quickly pulled ahead to finish a strong 1st.
Jason started 2nd in the Feature, and by about the 10th lap it was clear the car was running strong, as #12 took the lead and placed a wide space between him and the rest of the pack. For the next 20 laps Jason had a good lead, and the 2010 Track Champions had a great night winning their first 2011 Feature at Florence!

Win

Luckily we had pit-passes, and I was able to zip into the infield during the last caution and be there to get some great pictures of the win! I'll try and get the rest of them up tomorrow, as well as the video of the heat race.
EatDirt was again on the backstretch with their tent selling tshirts, hoodies, and lots more - and we have now also added a photo album to the list. Each photo is $5, so be sure to stop by next weekend and check them out!
This week WhiteWater (AKA Union County Speedway) opens, and the crew is hoping to make it out there on Friday night. They will also be at Florence again on Saturday - here's hoping that the rain stays away!

Also.. A special thanks to Tree for the mini heart-attack at the rig before the Feature... you almost had me with the belts, but not quite. ;)

Florence Speedway's Points Opener (April 2 2011)

What a way to start the points season at Florence last night!
The weather seemed to cooperate well enough, even though it was a tad colder than a lot of us would have liked. The track was extremely dusty, and with the high wind it was sometimes hard to even see the cars coming around turn #4 (from where we were sitting in J). I think most were just happy that racing season was once again underway, and boy was there a lot of Jason Jameson fans in the stands! You could clearly see the bright #12's on hoodies and beanies clear across the track in the backstretch.
There were quite a few Late Models in attendance, around 30 I believe - including J. Lay, E. Carrier Jr., D. Chamberlain, J. Gill, and G. Johnson to name just a few.
The #12 started in the poll position for the heat race, and took a huge lead to take the checkered flag. The car looked great despite the track, and we couldn't wait to see how it would do in to 40-lap Feature.
Starting fourth in the Feature, Jason quickly jumped to third and held strong moving up to second by lap 20. There were a few cautions at which he fell back to third, but in the last three laps Jason was pushing the lead (#49 Greg Johnson) and close on his heels.
#12 came in a strong second and received a big cheer from the fans when they announced Racin' Jason Jameson! Good job guys - I'm already looking forward to next week’s races!
Speaking of which - I'm not sure what they're planning yet, since the Brownstown Icebreaker and Florence are both running, but I will post the news on Facebook and update the website schedule as soon as I can.
Just a reminder that you can purchase t-shirts and hoodies at the Rig - and as well EatDirt has been setting up their tent on the backstretch at Florence selling t-shirts, hoodies, beanies, hats, can sleeves, photos, decals and more.
There are a few new pictures in the photo album, and a small video of the first few laps of the Feature posted on YouTube.
We'll see y'all next week!

Florence Speedway's Spring 50
Written by Jen Schwarte
Sunday, 20 March 2011 13:30
After running the second fastest time in Qualifying last night at the Florence Spring 50, Jason finished 3rd in the Heat to move on to the Feature. He started strong moving up the pack, but unfortunately had front end problems and had to pull out early. The car was running strong last night though, and now that the first race of the season is over - we are looking forward to Brownstown next weekend!
I've had several messages from people looking for the 2011 Jason Jameson Racing T-shirts and hats (that aren't currently for sale on the website)... We're waiting to get the next order in and we will then put them up for sale online, but for now you can look for EatDirt Raceware's booth at Brownstown March 26th and buy them there. Also, you can email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and I will see what I can do for you!
We were super excited last night to see all the Jameson fans in their #12's. It seemed like every other person you saw had a hat, T-shirt, beanie and/or hoodie on with the bright #12 proudly displayed. What a great sight as Florence was packed. It's wonderful to see all the support to Jason and the Crew, and they would like to thank you all for being such great fans!
On a side note, we now have a YouTube account to post videos to - and I just bought a handycam. I won't be taping every race (we like to watch them too, and it's not as fun when you have to concentrate on focusing a camera all the time hahah), but what I do record I will post there, as well as links to other videos I can find that have Jason racing in them (dirtracingconnection has a few of the races - including last night's Spring 50). If you have some video of the #12 car that you would like to share, please let me know and I will get it up for everyone to enjoy. The website has also been updated with some new pictures, and we are all set to record the new season results.

Here's to the start of a great racing season - we all certainly missed it this winter!

Florence Speedway's Fall 50
Written by Jen Schwarte

What a race last night at Florence Speedway for the final race of 2010!
The Team (and the car!) looked good as they finished 3rd in their Heat and went on to start 4th in the Feature. The track was fast and the #12 battled it out and managed to take the lead before kissing the wall in turn two and finishing a close second. The crowd was on its feet cheering the Track Champion on and everyone commented that it was a heck of a race and way to end out the 2010 Florence Season!
The Florence Speedway Track Banquet was announced as November 19th!
